Raphael Bundage conducts the Sanctuary Choir heard during the 11 o'clock worship services and the DOXOLOGY Youth Choir. He holds bachelor degrees from Texas Christian University in music literature and theory and graduate degrees from the Eastman Conservatory of Music. Dr. Bundage is also the director of choral activities at Middle Tennessee State University and is the former associate conductor of the Nashville Opera Association. He is the product of an extraordinary host of master teachers in the choral field including Donald Neuen, Julius Herford, and Robert Shaw.
Daphne Garey

Daphne Garey has been the music administrative assistant since May 2001, successfully combining her interests in computer and music. With music degrees from Middle Tennessee State University and Scarritt Graduate School, Mrs. Garey has been a soprano soloist at St. George's Episcopal Church, Belle Meade UMC, and here at FPC. She once served as director of music at both St. Andrews Lutheran Church and West Nashville UMC and in spring 2002 directed the Blair Choristers, one of the children's choirs at Blair School of Music. She is also a charter member of the Nashville Chamber Singers.
Susan Kirby

Susan Kirby began singing in church choir in the first grade. She is a graduate of Drexel University with a Dietetic Internship from Vanderbilt. Mrs. Kirby sings in the Sanctuary Choir, plays the handbells and is a trained Stephen Minister. She has taught kindergarten choir since 1985 and was the administrator of the Blair School Children's Choir Program for 16 years. As music administrator at First Presbyterian, Mrs. Kirby plans and manages the music and worship budgets and coordinates the church's numerous music ministries. |

Keith Moore

Keith Moore began his musical training with his father, a pianist who accompanied Southern gospel quartets. He has served in music ministry in Baptist, Methodist, and Presbyterian churches in four states. With degrees from Jacksonville State University, University of Louisville, and University of Cincinnati, Dr. Moore is coordinator of vocal studies at Belmont University and a performer with several professional organizations in Nashville. A charter member of the Sanctuary Chorale, he has led the group for since 2001.
Douglas Murray

Douglas Murray, First Presbyterian Church's organist, comes from North Carolina where he was educated at Pfeiffer College and at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He leads a double life and is also professor of English at Belmont University, where he specializes in British literature, particularly that of the 17th - 19th centuries.
Rhonda Swanson

Rhonda Swanson, assistant organist, has served on the music staff since 1998. A native of Minnesota, she earned an associate's degree from Cottey College, a bachelor's degree from Gustavus Adolphus College, and a master's degree in organ and church music from Indiana University. She also studied in Denmark with organist Grethe Krogh of the Royal Danish Conservatory of Music. Mrs. Swanson accompanies the Sanctuary Chorale and DOXOLOGY. She also serves as the primary departmental contact for weddings.
