First Presbyterian Church presents Ruth McGinnis and her Acoustic Trio on Sunday, February 25, 2007 at 4:00 p.m. as she uses her creativity to celebrate life and encourage others to do the same!
Ruth McGinnis is a recording artist, author, wellness professional and speaker; a 21st-century Renaissance woman. She performs the music she records, a magical mix of Celtic, Folk, Sacred, Classical and Americana melodies. Accompanied by a trio of outstanding musicians (keyboard, acoustic guitar, saxophone and flute), the combination of Ruth's elegant Juilliard tone is the free, eclectic style she developed while recording and performing with folk/bluegrass legend, John Hartford, has been described as a "paradox of masterful complexity and gentle simplicity."
