Acclaimed Texas Boys Choir Performs at FPC

     Texas Boys Choir - Friday, March 3, 2006 - 7:00 p.m.

One of the nation's premiere touring choirs, The Texas Boys Choir, was founded in 1946 and has made at least one national or international performance tour every year since. During its more than half century of performing, the choir has made over 30 commercial recordings, garnered two Grammy Awards and has been honored with a Bronze Award from the International Film and Television Festival in New York. The choir operates its own school in Fort Worth, Texas, where its members receive artistic training and an accredited academic education. it was founded to give any boy who qualifies, regardless of socio-economic or ethnic background, a grounding in self-discipline, self-confidence, etiquette and patriotism as well as to create a world-class professional choir of boys.

On Friday, March 3, 2006, The Texas Boys Choir will perform two concerts in our sanctuary. The first is a school concert from 1:30 to 2:00 p.m. presented to school children in our community. The second concert is at 7:00 p.m. Both concerts are free and open to the public, but groups must register with the Music Department.
