Concordia College Concert Poster
The Concordia College Choir will present a concert at First Presbyterian Church, Nashville, TN on February 28, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. in the church sanctuary. The choir, from Moorhead, Minnesota, will perform as part of its annual winter tour, showcasing an avant-garde set of new works by Dr. Rene Clausen, as well as traditional choral pieces.

The Concordia Choir is featured in the Concordia Christmas Concerts, which are nationally broadcast on public television. The choir's recordings are distributed internationally and through iTunes, making it one of the top-selling choirs in the country.

Dr. Rene Clausen is the third conductor in the choir's illustrious history, assuming the role in 1986. as a composer he has written more than 100 commissioned works, which are distributed by seven publishers.

This year the choir will perform and record with the Grammy Award-winning King's Singers during their residency on Concordia's campus. The national tour program includes hymns, evocative Clausen arrangements of movie music, a new four-choir Bobby mcFerrin work, selections from the choir's collaboration with The King's Singers and an avant-grade piece for choir, piano, recorded choir, nature soundtrack and theatrical lighting. Learn more at www.ConcordiaCollege.edu/choir.
