 Oak Hill Day Camp is a fun and exciting place where children have the opportunity to swim, ride horses, play sports and games, while including the Arts in our daily offerings. But camp offers so much more. These activities allow us to get in touch with and appreciate our natural surroundings in a 55 acre park-like setting. Camp creates an atmosphere for building life-long friendships, discovering new skills, and helps children find that special something that makes their eyes light up. A child's experiences at camp will shape who they are as an adult. "Camp Does Kids a World of Good."
Oak Hill Day Camp prides itself on not just being summer childcare for the working parent, but a total camp experience that we believe is not just a luxury, but an essential part of a child's development. Each staff member at Oak Hill Day Camp believes in the mission of the camp; "To enrich the lives of children and families through re-creation."

"You're in the Band"
A Specialty Camp
June 10 – June 12
Learn how to play fun and easy songs with others. Students will have a great time learning the basics of playing in a band. Everyone in the class will get the opportunity to try every instrument and then pick one to play on performance day. We will be playing Drums, bass, Electric guitars, percussion and singing vocals. The class will have a performance on the last day of camp.
Oak Hill Day Camp is pleased to inform you that children who are attending "You're in the Band" may also register for Oak Hill Day Camp; we will help your child make the transition from OHDC to their Specialty Camp and then back to OHDC again.
There are two different classes being offered, one for beginners and the other for those who have had more experience playing a musical instrument. Please make sure to sign up your child for the appropriate class and if they have one of the above mentioned instruments to bring it along to camp with them.
Class 1 – For students with little or no experience playing a musical instrument.
Hours: 9:00am – 10:30am Mon - Fri
Cost: $240.00 per child
Class 2 – For students who have played an instrument for 6 months or more.
Hours: 11:00am – 12:30pm Mon - Fri
Cost: $240.00 per child
Required Deposit $100.00 per child
Kenny Kidd
 Kenny has been performing professionally for over 15 years. Kenny has helped many of his students become professional performing musicians in Rock, Pop and various other genres of music. Kenny loves to share his joy of making music, helping others to discover their talents while having fun and creating music. To register for Specialty Camps download and fill out the Oak Hill Day Camp Application for Enrollment, Health History forms and mail them in along with the camper deposit. Please indicate which Specialty Camp your child will be attending by writing it on the top portion of the Application.

Theatre Camp
A Specialty Camp
June 15 – June 26
Theater Camp at Oak Hill provides a rare opportunity to grow as a performer and still have time for a campfire and swimming. Campers will learn all aspects of the stage and building of a show from auditions to performance of a Broadway musical the final night of camp. Campers will receive instruction in audition techniques, creative movement, voice, acting, set & costume design through the production of the musical, building skills that will benefit them on and off the stage. Campers will enjoy special activities throughout the session, like roasting marshmallows, and end each day at the pool.
Theatre Camp is for children who have completed 1st grade - rising 6th grade. The hours of camp are 9:00am – 3:00pm, early and late supervision are also available.
Cost: $425.00 per child
Required Deposit $100.00 per child
Debbie Hunter
 Debbie is originally from Florida where she performed in numerous productions, including You're a Good Man Charlie Brown, Man of La Mancha, A Chorus Line, Brigadoon, Oliver!, Music Man, Anything Goes, Harvey, She's at Sea, Barnum, The King & I, and The Tempest. She worked as a dancer at Walt Disney World before heading to the University of South Florida where she received a BA in Broadcasting. Acting credits in Kentucky and Tennessee include Nellie in South Pacific, Blithe Spirit, Dearly Departed and participation in Cannon County's R.O.A.D.s (Rural Outreach Audience Development) program as the Cheshire Cat in Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Lady Kendall in The Reluctant Dragon.
Currently Debbie is working with the children's choir at Epworth UM church and works with the Vanderbilt Medical School as a Standardized Patient. Oak Hill Day Campers may remember Debbie as their Theater Director the last two summers. Tune in and you may hear her in a myriad of commercials promoting hospitals or selling cars.
